1. Who is responsible
Ferries Freight is a service of MilestoneBrokers LLC (USDOT 04250815). MilestoneBrokers LLC is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean MilestoneBrokers LLC.
2. What we collect
Website forms. The quote and contact forms on this website are not connected to any system yet. What you type into them is checked in your browser and is not sent to us, stored or shared. One exception: if JavaScript is turned off in your browser, or you send a form before the page has finished loading, your browser reloads the page with what you typed added to the page address, and our hosting provider receives that address with the page request (see "Technical data" below). To reach us, email quotes@ferriesfreight.com.
When you contact us. If you email us, we receive what you send, such as your name, company, email address, phone number and the details of the cargo and route you ask about.
Technical data. When your browser loads a page, it sends standard request data to our hosting provider, Vercel: your IP address, your browser type, the page requested and the page you came from. Vercel needs this data to deliver the page and to protect the site against abuse. The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address and browser details when your browser fetches them.
3. Why we use it
- To answer your questions and prepare the freight quotes you ask for.
- To arrange transportation with carriers and vessel operators when you go ahead with a shipment.
- To keep the business records the law requires.
- To deliver this website and keep it secure.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.
4. Who receives it
- Carriers, vessel operators and other transportation providers that need your shipment details to quote or move your cargo, when you ask us to.
- Providers that run our systems for us: website hosting (Vercel) and font delivery (Google Fonts).
- Public authorities, when the law requires it.
5. How long we keep it
We keep emails and quote records for 3 years, then delete them. Vercel and Google keep the request data they process under their own retention rules.
6. Security
This website is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). It doesn't store what you type into its forms.
7. Your choices and rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it when we don't have to keep it. Email quotes@ferriesfreight.com and we'll reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, state law may give you further rights.
8. Cookies
This website sets no cookies, and we don't use analytics, advertising or tracking tools. The Cookie Notice explains what the site stores in your browser.
9. Children
This is a business-to-business service and is not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy, and the date at the top of the page, before we change what we collect. For example, we'll update it before the website forms start sending information to us.
